After some lousy ‘service’ experiences in Italian restaurants, canoe (not) renting clubs and sold-out (but not-so-full) beach-clubs, we came across a positive service experience.
What you see is what you get.
Last week browsing the shopping area in Pisa, our eyes fell on a cool pair of shoes in a window. After stepping inside a completely white space we thought we were in the wrong place… Nothing but a bench, a guy behind a counter and an ornamentally framed shoe spoon on the wall.
This Italian shoe store (Sodini) surprised us by not having any shoes in it’s store!
The owner appeared to be a wonderful salesman only having shoes in the window (and some on stock behind the store), putting effort in helping the customers putting on their new shoes and telling them for what occasion they could be suitable.

Another positive note; this pair of shoes happened to be unreasonably affordable by being the last (un-Italian) sized 44…
