A pretty early announcement of the first Nordic conference on Service design. It’s a 3 day (24 – 26 November 2009) conference in Norway organized by the Norwegian Design Council and AHO (The Oslo School of Architecture and Design).

The innovation potential from design is now widely recognised, and more and more companies are seeing the value that design can offer at all levels of the organisation. Until recently, design-driven innovations have mainly come from the area of product design or interaction design. However, design-driven innovation in services is now becoming a growth area and the area of Service Design is emerging as an exciting and vigerous new kid on the block.

The current program:

Day 1: The business case for Service Design

Day 2: A crossover day, encouraging dialogue and learning, through workshops and tutorials

Day 3: Research papers highlighting Service Design research

I’m really curious if we’re going to see new projects compared to the International Service Design conference last year in Amsterdam.

You can also submit your papers here if you want to get on stage and present.

No details on pricing or speakers yet.
